Took delivery in Chicago / NW suburbs today. White AWD / black / induction. Delivery was originally scheduled for Monday but it was anticipated to today since they are about to close due to shelter-in-place order. That was close!

I picked up Grey Goose yesterday at Santa Barbara. Small crowd around MY while a couple of Model 3 delivered also.
1st midnight silver Performance in SB. They have a new “touchless” delivery whereby you unlock your MY via Tesla app. Your paperwork is sitting on your front seat. You may peruse your a Model Y as long as you like ( I took an hour to go through my checkout list) before turning in any paperwork or handing over check. Drop paperwork in the delivery box. Only inspection problem I found was a small black window frame gap - easily fixable. No backseat locking issues.
I had to buy a Ne-Ma 1450 adaptor for 240 V charger at home because this is not in your Universal cord bundle. A delivery specialist is a few yards nearby wearing gloves if you have any questions.
All in all a very easy delivery process. Best wishes to all getting their MY soon.

Took delivery in Costa Mesa today, love the car so far! Few minor paint issues that they'll need to fix but everything else looks goooood.

Is it a new thing for Tesla to no supply the 14-50 adapter? Most of the Model 3 videos online show it as a standard provided plug?

Tesla stopped including the 14-50 adapter around April or so last year. Same with the USB cables for phone charger area. They also stopped including the frunk liner carpet/mat, but that was later in 2019. None of these items are really a big deal, but it is not an ideal trend, especially when it came to the HomeLink adapter being pulled from standard equipment later in 2019 too.

I can/ have lived with out a liner + homelink. Id guess the logic behind not providing the 14-50 adapter is that most people will either have pay ~$x00 to install the HPWC or 14-50 adapter.... so what is an extra $35 bucks for a whole adapter pack. Lightly irritating but O'well.

I took delivery in SouthWest Suburbs of Chicago yesterday Blue AWD, Long Range, Induction wheels 05XX VIN. My delivery was a little more problematic and I did find a few issues
1- Back Seat locking issues, the do not fold automatically with the buttons
2- Front Driver door is maligned with the panels a bit
3- Coat hanger popped out but does not close (minor irritant)
4- Some misalignment of front speakers

Hopefully they fix these, once lock down ends in Illinois

i experienced the same for rear seats. As well as middle seat back panel being completely loose.

Can you post pics of the speaker and door panel?

Congrats!

What if you need to submit checks for payment? Obviously they need to try cashing the check prior to just letting you drive off right? How does this work?
