Anyone upgrade the rear view camera?

Looks pretty good to me. It does have a bit of a frame rate issue, but the picture quality is plenty good enough for backing up or whatever.

I have an X and thinking about adding a 3. On the 3, can you use the rear view camera while driving to ensure no one is creeping up in your blind spots.

Yeah, that's almost certainly a sensor defect that should be covered by warranty...

Probably, yeah. I’m assuming you’ve already tried rebooting? Could be a defect with the image sensor in the camera or maybe a bad connection somewhere.

Doing a quick google search, I See this a a possible s/x rear camera part:

Could it be as simple as swapping that in for the current Model 3 camera?

Does anyone know the part number for it in the Model 3?

The backup camera is not really wide enough, it does not show up any objects if the object is close to the line of the rear bumper, I have to visually verify before I backup from parking lot or getting on to the street from drive way, I had many close shaves the object shows up on the screen when it is behind me. I love my Tesla however I love the backup camera on Honda0 Odyssey 2019 I can backup just by looking at the backup camera with 100% confidence.
