I have been using my HPWC 2 for over a year, but just recently installed the HomeFlex because my utility company gave a $500 rebate, an additional $50 for signing up for 11pm-7am charging and also gives 5 cents per kWh discount for charging during those time. In essence, a free charger.
So, I want to charge at 11pm. Three options. Set charger and Tesla to start at 11pm, charger only at 11pm or Tesla only at 11pm. Which option should I be doing?
I charged the other night manually. I am using the Nema 6-50 plug on my unit on a 50 amp breaker. Book says that will add 30 miles range per hour. I could have swore I saw the Tesla showing 37. HPWC gives me 37 on a 50 amp breaker, set to 40 amps, so I don't know why the ChargePoint manual says it will give 30. Does the Tesla somehow maximize efficiency and get me 37 instead of 30?
