Just wondering if anyone out there with a white Model S has tried out a black stripe over the hood and down the rear. Something like this, but hopefully it looks better (not as thick, and only one stripe):
I actually saw one white P85 with two stripes just like on the pic above, in downtown Bellevue, WA about a week ago. I'm torn between "looks ok" and "the car is too big for it".
Uh no. That is god awful looking and disrespectful to the design of the Model S. If the Model S could, it would electrocute anyone who tried to paint this on it.
ah..........the Dodge Neon Club called and said your stripes arrived the stripes might be good to audition for "Fast And Furious 47" though yobig, please pass me the Costco gallon jug of Pepto-Bismol
I guess I'll see myself out of this thread..... love my white, but I love a black/white contrast. Trying to figure out how to add some non-white to this car.
Tesla had a white car at Monterey Car Week that had a black (or maybe it was a charcoal grey) logo and lines down the sides. Looked good. Fit with the car. Think I saw the photos on Tesla's facebook page.
Love the white too! Might you consider a carbon or black rear spoiler and gray or black wheels to add some contrast ? Possibly black out the chrome front side air intake grills? I limo tinted the back trunk widow along with a Tesla sunshield so it is now almost black. Painted calipers ?
I think the Model S is too elegant for this treatment. Belongs, and looks great, on a 'Stang or 'Vette. But if you like it, that really is all that counts, so go for it. We only live once and deserve the best.
Thanks for the pointer! I think I found it: I actually like this black one better: This guy went hard on adding a few black accents: I actually like this decal a lot, which belongs to user kseitzberg
Stripes like that can look wicked on a Ferrari, Viper or other performance car. Look out of place on a BMW. IMHO.
Did you, by chance, get a look under the front to spy any driven half-shafts? Here is a pic of Leilani's silver P85+
There used to be standards for colors, maybe not anymore. Official USA was white with blue stripes. What country does white with black stripes represent?
