AP stopped working - Reduced Front Radar Visibllity

Took my car in for a bumper replacement. Car looked great with the new bumper, took it for a spin, drives nicely, engage autopilot, drives itself like a beauty for about a mile or so and then it goes to town with the take control shenanigans. Error message shows reduced front radar visibility.
Nothing will fix it, hard reset many times and problem still exists. Weird thing is that it will let you engage AP for about a mile or more after you lock and walk away from your car!! It’s consistent behavior. Any ideas why? Did SC forget to do something or is the radar being blocked somehow?

Hi @LoveMX ,

You do not mention the year of your car...
I read in here somewhere that older cars had a plastic bracket
that supports the radar assembly.
It tends to weaken and sag as the car gets older causing this type of problem.
The solution was to change the newer model cars to a metal mounting bracket
for the radar assembly...

This may or may not be your problem.

Good luck,

Shawn
