AP1 ONLY Please -- life after 2018.50.6

Just updated to 32.12.1 from v9. Spotify and Joe Mode seem to be the only highlights for AP1 and non-AP cars. Hungry and Lucky buttons are terrible and a waste of space. It told me to go to A&W fast food restaurant in the next city and a Native American casino 22 miles away.

Very correct. My tiny brain tends to bundle up autopark and summon together as the same thing :)

And it is actually a relevant point, because if I step out of the car, I can autopark using the summon menu in the phone app. I will confirm, but I am pretty sure that this means that the feature is still on.

Well, on my older AP1 car, on the phone app, it is called summon. It will turn slightly as needed, so it can be steered by placing an object in front of a side sensor, so it can be summoned.

I propose we call it "Dumb Summon" to avoid confusion.

Not to derail the thread but yes, I would say clearly Autopark when the screen shows you the parking spot and the car maneuvers to get there, be it parallel parking or just straight, with you still inside of the vehicle.

Double tapping P just gives you the option to go forward or back after you step out of the car, which is not exactly the same thing. I will hereby refer to it as Dumb Summon from now on :)

In any case, going back to the original point... I tried Dumb Summon again and it does not work for me since updating to V10. Double pressing P does nothing. Autopark and Summon on the other hand still work just fine.

To change the subject a bit. There was some talk about how AP1 works with recent updates a few weeks ago. I don't use AP much as I don't drive rush hour traffic very often and haven't had much chance to take road trips. For my running around town driving the car is too much fun to let the computer do it. :)

I did just get back from a 2000+ mile round trip to California and did use AP here and there on the trip, but still found driving myself to be more pleasant. The more frequent nags is one of the downsides. It makes it less relaxing than just driving.

The truck affinity thing was mentioned a few weeks ago. This is where the car tends to drift toward truck as your passing them with AP on. I noticed this did happen with AP on, but I also noticed it with AP off. It seems like trucks drift towards my car as I pass them rather than the car drift towards the truck. At least that's my observation.

This might be part of the problem. Stuck on checking for updates. WiFi or notView attachment 462637

2019.32.12.1 fixes this

So, can I get an update from those who have installed v10 on their AP1 car AND has Supercharger throttling imposed on the by Tesla AND has Supercharged since the update? Is the throttling the same, worse, better?

I'm about to take a road trip and don't want it nagging me to upgrade, but I certainly don't want even slower charging. I'm already increasing the allotted time for the trip by a day...

Supercharged on 32.12.1 yesterday a few times: Actually updated while at the Supercharger in Hope. Second time I have updated while on the road via cellular. Definitely no faster but I wouldn't say it is any slower. Again pretty much right on 110 combined charging rate and SOC. I thought maybe at the brand new 150 kw supercharger in Blaine yesterday I might get a little higher rate but no, 80 kW max at a SOC of 30%. I have 106000 km now. Have not supercharged on 32.12.2 yet.

I can also confirm AP was as solid as it has ever been. Still don't get this moving away from oncoming traffic, or moving to the other side of the lane away from passing other vehicles going the same direction as others have claimed, it stayed in the dead centre on the lane over a 600 km drive yesterday, but it did that better than it ever has.

Again, if you are past the .16 update I see no reason not to keep updating. Enjoying the Spotify playlists and ability to play full albums, and rewind songs.

2019.32.12.1
Just updated to 2019.32.11.1. It is just me, or summon no longer activates from the gear selector by double pressing park?

Probably to put an end to the bitter Autopark vs. Summon controversy that was tearing this community apart, Tesla has released a new update (2019.32.12.1) that seems to fix the issue. At least for me, Dumb Summon is working again :)

November 2014 S85. I’ve tried the update slider and reboot. My WiFi is so-so. Some days I park right up against my house, other days I’m about 25 feet away. But there are times that it has a very good WiFi connection.
