App Issues [dont have car yet]

Could be simply because I don’t have the car yet, but I downloaded the app in preparation for my delivery (7d from now) and had been looking at videos etc thru it. The app updated, and now I t will not let me advance past the intro screen. There is no way past.

It makes me concerned that I won’t be able to use the app when I get to my delivery. Anyone had this issue?

What I see is the picture below, and clicking support navigates me to the browser site, while the “X” signs me out. There are no other screens (before there were).

Mine did the same. The app is near useless until activated. Once it's activated by Tesla it becomes one of the best car apps I've seen. I used to have an Outlander PHEV and the app was simply awful (and only worked if you connected your phone WiFi to the car, so no remote heating/cooling if you were further than about 30m from the vehicle!)

I agree. But one other note to add: When I got my M3 back in September, it took almost a full day before my car and the app became connected and functional. Till then, I simply used the Tesla card.

Mine changed when the driver left the service center on the way for home delivery. I was able to track them driving to me. I had not yet accepted the car/delivery on the Tesla account site. I was always told it would be after accepting delivery, and that’s what the delivery specialist thought too, but I had acess before.

Your in texas, a state that does not allow tesla sales in the state. This means that you actually own the car before its delivered to you, unlike most other states. You would not have been able to simply say "I want to reject this car" because its sold to you in another state, then shipped to you.,

Thats why you could see it at that point, because you owned that vehicle at that point.

This isnt the case for most states (the ones that allow tesla sales) as you dont actually own the vehicle until its delivered. In texas, you are basically accepting the car in another state and having it shipped to you.
