Confirming at 17:36 EST, that App and API are still down.
The app error is of little help (Unrecognized Error) however the API error 502: Bad Gateway indicates that the mothership is experiencing some pain.

Hope they get it fixed soon.

I had to reset my password (long story). So, I thought, what the heck, I will log out of the app and then log in with the new and improved password.

Wrong!

Tesla Support told me the same thing. We don't know how long it will be down. We cannot notify you that it is up and working again, because we do not know who all is affected. They suggested that I try again in 24 hours.

Situations like these are discouraging to me. If technology is so wonderful, why does it seem to break down for no apparent reason with no timetable for resolution? What are people supposed to do if there happened to be a real emergency, and they were reliant on this application?

Kinda glad to find this thread and see everyone is having the same issue. Just had my whole MCU replaced and figured they had to figure out how to relink the app/etc. But, seems its on the server side (whew!). Now I just hope they get it all up again soon ;-)
