App Spinning With No Updates

The Tesla app is acting weird for both my wife and I. Started at the same time and the same exact thing is happening on both our phones (same Android phone). The app opens just fine, but nothing updates and the notification at the bottom to refresh just keeps spinning. I can go into the Charging menu and open the charge door, unlock the charge port, etc. so it's communicating with the car, but it never updates. Anyone had this problem in the past and how did you fix? I tried a forced stop on the app and my wife tried restarting her phone and neither have fixed the problem.
