App version 4.3.0-766 does not open car when app not open

I updated my app today to version 4.3.0-766 and can no longer open my car (2021 M3LR) without the app open. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it?

Have you checked to make sure that the Location setting is Always On for teh Tesla app.

Yes. It was on before I updated (and it worked) and it is still on.

I called Tesla support and they told me they were seeing random bluetooth disconnects. They asked me to reload the app, forget the bluetooth, and then reconfigure the key. I will see tomorrow if this really worked or not.

I also have the same issue. I did those exact steps and I still can’t connect. Model Y if it makes a difference. iOS 14.7.1. App is 4.3.0 which launched the update just yesterday.

Well I just called the Tesla phone line and there’s an auto recording acknowledging this app issue lol. They’re working on a fix asap. So they’re aware.

I don't think the server error 500 issue is the same thing. Mine is working but it seems intermittent. I will give it a few days and contact support again.

I was having similar issues and found a recommendation to log out of the app, reboot the phone and sign back in to app. I have not had an issue since doing this two days ago. I also received an update to 36.5.8 from 36.5.5 which zi think was to fix this issue.

Interesting.

The other day it let me in, but then it asked for the card key. I took out my phone to try phaffs, but before I got that far it had reconnected. That happened once or twice before.

And now I see that I have 36.5.5.

Mine seems to working just fine, app closed, pressed the door handle and it opened right up. I'm at 21.36.8 and APP 4.3.0.

Really liking the Live Camera too!

It is still happening to me. I have a new car, so I have not gotten any software updates on the car yet. 2021.35.102.1 yet. I have a service appointment for Dec 2.

Nope, you need Tesla app 4.2 or higher and FW 36.8 or higher. I see all 4 cameras on my droid. see my post 5 above this one.
