App won't connect since 28 Aug. Teslafi OK. ??

The Tesla app on my phone hasn't connected to my car since 28 Aug. Charging and other stuff is greyed out. Bar at the bottom says "Updated on August 28, 2019" with a revolving circle. No error messages anywhere.

Teslafi has been getting data just fine.

I've rebooted my phone. App is up to date.

I've soft and hard booted my car. No change. Currently on 2019.28.3.1 f9...acd

I've taken a couple of trips and tried it various places to see if it was a WiFi or cell issue but no luck.

Any ideas what this could be?

I had the same problem and did the same troubleshooting. Date was about the same, as well.

Ended up that I had to log out of my account on the app and re-login. Worked after that.

You need to logoff and log back in to get a new security token to access your vehicle. Try that.

Delete and re-install... that fixed it for me

You can also try clicking the “gear” and then going back to the car.

likely you will have to logout.

They had some sort of issue last week and some are required to logout/login to rssolve.

Yeah no problems here.

Fix it by logout and in, then if that doesn’t work delete app and reinstall. Note that logging out and in will cause your settings like notifications to reset. Check them all afterwards.

And, for the model 3 users counting on Bluetooth key, don’t ever logout/login unless you have the card key with you.

if the server is still out and you cannot login again... Bluetooth key no longer works.
