I'm currently running iOS 13 Beta 8 on my iPhone XS, and man, is the new Carplay interface sweet (on my puny 8" Subaru HU)! I really wish Musk would "allow" Carplay to co-exist on the Tesla platform...

Follow up - Has there been any recent talk that Tesla might start offering it at some point, like they recently mentioned Slacker replacement?

CarPlay will be in Tesla cars after Apple buys Tesla. Unless that happens, CarPlay will never be in a Tesla. The Tesla OS software would have to be re-written and the Apple licensing fee would not be feasible for Tesla in its present paradigm of bleeding cash.
