Apple Watch and Tesla

Has anyone been able to pair an Apple Watch Series 3/GPS-cellular with a Tesla? Apple doesn't seem too optimistic and I can't find a thread here that talks about it so I'm guessing it's not possible. I've also been unable to pair with my BMW i3.

Kind of maddening to have to a device that will make/receive calls, play streaming music, etc., but not use the car audio system.

This is just sort of a cry for help in case one of the many technically oriented owners has had some success.

Apple is not very keen on supporting standards, not even those close to 20 years old.

Get a device that does not try to punish you for having non Apple accessories, or an iCar... I guess an iCar will only work with iTires.

The watch is not officially set up to pair with cars.

However, it appears to work partially for some vehicles, e.g. a 2011 Honda Pilot making and receiving calls, but not playing music.

It appears they haven't installed the BT profiles needed to provide the functionality. Wonder if limited battery power along with recharging ability in car is real issue.
