April 2022 Model Y Order - Expected Delivery time UK

Hey Guys,

Sorry super new to this. We ordered our Model Y LR last week. Annoyingly the week before we ordered, the expected delivery time on the website was showing July for our Spec but when we went to order in the showroom the following week it had a changed to Sep. I logged onto our account today and it is now saying Expected delivery 11th June to 30th June. How accurate is this as thats quite a big jump from Sep back up to June! (No complaints though if this is the case!)

Before the Tesla we put an order in for another car last July and the company decided to cancel our order couple of weeks ago hence the Tesla purchase! As you can imagine after waiting almost a year with no car at the end of it, I would love to know how Tesla have been with delivery timescales etc.

After the excitement of subbing an order the confusion over the delivery date is frustrating but I'm trying to be relaxed about it, telling myself that it'll arrive when it arrives. Knowing that I am not alone is comforting; we're all in the same boat / shipping container.
On the other hand with petrol heading towards £2/litre it can't come soon enough.
Come on Tesla - put those parts together faster!
Pretty much yes although I admit to the school boy of believing the delivery date (originally this week) and selling the wife's car 🤦‍♂️ I'm now using a 21 year old weekend car as a daily and crying at the petrol station every week 😂

We so nearly did the same thing. Fortunately we decided to wait for a definite date and not to trust a 6 week window.

Ordered a lease in Feb 22, promised end of march which then became : mid April, End of april, Start of May, End of May, Start of June, End of June and jumped to end of September this morning! MYLR in white / black, 19's. Not sure why, if they lost a month or so of production and they are almost back to operating levels that this reflects as a 6 months delay. The main frustration is 6 months (or more) of diesel and company car tax which is massively denting the wallet in the meantime.

It's interesting to hear your story. Ours is the same vehicle order but we ordered in March. We kept getting told by the staff in the dealership to make sure we have completed our online account because it can cause a delay if the funding isn't set up. They said they just put you to the bottom of the queue if you haven't done your funding. I'm wondering if this also has something to do with it for people using external financing. We ordered through the company via Lex so we haven't been able to see any of our order at all.

We ordered mid March and we have just been told by Tesla it could be anytime up until August. However, I don't believe them, I reckon it'll fall into Sept to Oct.
👍. Early days I was getting text messages with EDD updates but this seemed to have stopped and finding out about the delayed new dates via the app myself. For the last week or so, no changes and still showing end of Aug-mid Oct which is a pretty broad window

I also questioned earlier in a similar thread - I am struggling to understand too…🤔

“As a Tesla enthusiast, being very excited and at the very start of my journey, I can’t help myself but wonder what the challenges for Tesla are to provide better EDDs (despite the shutdown, shortages etc) given the fact that I am sure estimating range/battery %, FSD involve many more uncertainties, variables (most of which possibly not even linear) and far more complex algorithms…”

I ordered on March 13th (MYLR, MSM, 19", standard AP) and my window has been set to August 29th - October 13th, from mid to end-June.

From speaking with Tesla this morning, it sounds like the delivery windows have been pushed back due to the 'algorithm' seeing the lower output due to the factory closures. As output goes back to normal, we should apparently see the windows move closer over the next few weeks. Apparently I could see mine delivered July/August all being well... 🤔
They told me they don’t deliver in July
