It's amazing how much faster a vehicle can go into production when it doesn't have to comply with safety standards. My wife would choke me if I ordered one. Although the price is right, it fits my specs, but it's ugly as hell. I wish them the best.

Likely. It's a good practical choice, too.
Although a rear camera would slightly improve aerodynamics, a mirror is a vastly more reliable piece of technology.

Definitely true. But given that Aptera designed the previous version without mirrors, they must have thought they could get away without them.
I would say yes of course, it's not much good building something that can't be driven on the roads. They were just doing it under the motorcycle laws. Mirrors are a required item on motorcycles, at least in most states.
