Are all 2021 MX's pre-refresh or only some?

If it is only some of them that are pre-refresh, how can I determine which are pre vs post-refresh?

I'd like to buy an MX before the end of the year and I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth spending an extra $20k+ to get a 2022 vs a 2021.

I think some of the early plaids might be 2021. Just make sure the car you buy has the new screen layout, faster processors, yoke, etc. Have any sellers send you a picture of the displays.

All 2021 Xs are pre-refresh. Some 2021 MSs are refreshes.

Depends on how long you are keeping it. If it’s 4+ years, then additional $20K is worth it

The only ones without the chrome delete were mules and pre-production models. Same with the Silver cyberstream wheels

The confusion probably stems from the fact that many of these 2021 builds sat waiting for parts and weren't delivered to customers until far later in the year (even into 2022). I recall there being some confused owners on this forum when the new Xs finally started being delivered and they noticed the build month on the door sticker was a good half year back.

All refresh models came with gloss black trim. The only visible differences were the older taillights/charge port and (for Plaids) the PLAID text badge. With the new taillights/charge port also came the flat graphic emblem to replace it.
