Not sure, but does the backdoor still work? That was a better indicator of being close to vin than edit disappearing last summer.
To get to the backdoor, go to your tesla account and replace the last part of the url with your RN number. It's been so long that I forget exactly what the format/text is but if you search the forum for backdoor you should see a bunch of posts. I put some screenshots up about it a while back too....good luck!
Edit: went back and found the link you need to input. Try this:
Type the following URL, but replace the XXXXX with the digits from your RN. If you get to an edit config page, you still have some waiting to do (vin not assigned, car not in production). If it bounces you back to your account page without being able to edit you are one step closer. Hope this helps.

In the summer this did work for me to edit my design after my edit button disappeared, I got the change in at the last minute because 1-2 days after editing I got my vin and delivery assignment.....it all seems like so long ago!

Apparently the production date was October 2018, and I got a $7000 discount/price-adjustment. My delivery specialist tells me that that's the highest he has seen.
No idea if it was a demo unit or how many km's it had...as I'm good with the discount given that it's a late 2018 build. I figure I can still check out the ODO and ask plenty of questions on the car on the delivery day.
Damn that is a great discount. If I could get a $7k discount, I'd take it in a heartbeat (depending on the mileage of course

Im not sure I get this. I put the url in with my RN number and it just took me to my main page (manage account/Referrals) does this mean I could be one step closer to getting a VIN?
My edit button disappeared when a delivery specialist modified my account last week to change my car from MR to SR+ if that matters at all..

Which model did you order? I am also 2018, considering rejecting it and getting a 2019 as well. I don't care if I have to wait.
I have never seen the edit button. I ordered on March 4th (3 weeks ago) with estimated 2 weeks delivery. Delivery advisor contacted me a week ago with message that "your Model 3 is finished with production and on its way to our service center for delivery."
My Tesla web account has not changed since beginning, it still shows "Prepare for delivery", it still shows estimated delivery within 2 weeks from order place date.... and no VIN.

I am 99% sure I will reject this VIN. The only thing that might sway my opinion is a hefty discount ($7K+)
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I got Model 3 LR AWD, White, Aero, White Interior, Autopilot. I would need to see something more than a 4K discount to sway me, a 7K discount and we may be talking..
@sickbones Have you had any luck getting a hold of Tesla to talk about a 2019 VIN? I've spent virtually all day on hold on the phone. 1-888 number, 1-1-2-1 to reach Canadian deliveries. I call, get transferred, wait on hold for 50-75 minutes, call drops, rinse and repeat. Frustrating....

Are they delivering it to you to Ottawa, or are you planning to travel to Toronto or Montreal?
If you don't mind, what worries you about the at-home delivery? I have asked for it, but I have not read much about the home delivery experience in Canada.
Three concerns:
- I worry about the delivery contractor treating the car poorly
- I would like a real Tesla employee present if there are any delivery issues rather than having to call them. I've been on hold for 4+ hours to talk about my delivery date. Can't imagine doing this for an actual delivery issue.
- Home delivery tends to add 1-2 weeks to the delivery time (supposedly...)

I went into Tesla Vancouver on a whim (only model I was considering was the Model 3 Performance) as I had my eyes on an Audi RS7, but after the test drive they somehow found a demo Model 3 Performance listed @ almost $8,000 off and get this....104KM on the ODO, essentially brand new. So I placed my order on the spot and they said the vehicle was in Vancouver so I thought I could pick it up asap, but it ended up being in Seattle. Patiently waiting for it to get here so I can take delivery! Black on black 2018 M3P $70.7k before add ons and taxes
A friend of mine had his Model 3 Long Range AWD delivered to his home in Ottawa December of last year. He was pleased with the delivery.
You sure about the 1-2 weeks delay? I ordered on march 8 and they automaticaly proposed home delivery to me. Honestly I am a bit uneasy with this for the same reasons and considering I'm at like 15 mins from Montreal service center I'd prefer to just pick it up myself. Even more if I can have it faster.
That being said, since my order I've had no news or communication. Tesla account does not say anything, no VIN, nothing...
Not sure about the delay. That's the impression I've got from talking with folks but it is highly subjective. My concerns are purely anecdotal based on things I've read and friends I've talked to. I also have a friend in Ottawa who had 0 issues with his at home Model 3 delivery...but another friend did. Traveling to Toronto isn't a problem for me, so I figured it is one less thing that can go wrong. On the flip side, if they defer/delay the appointment at the last minute, it will be a far bigger hassle than with home delivery - so there's that
