They seem to move them very quick and the pricing is fair. I looked at used Model S's from local dealerships and my CPO car with same mileage and options was 3 to 4K cheaper.

Well, when you are on your 3rd CPO attempt when the previous 2 were damaged before they even reach your sc, you get a little bit off....I'm just hoping this one shows up unscathed....

I'm surprised how many CPO's have been our there for 6 to 9+ months and appear to still be priced similar to others. Seems like it would be worth it to Tesla to sell for a few thousand less than carry it for several months.

CPOs are being pushed into October delivery, especially if they have to be transferred. The margin and delivery numbers have to be all new deliveries to really push the sales numbers into the black. I ordered 10 days ago and am not sure it has even been loaded on the truck yet. My CPO sales rep said to expect 3 weeks for delivery, but I think there is a bit of" Tesla time" involved. I don't think margins on CPOs are nearly what they are on new. This is based on a couple of threads I've seen here indicating what offers were made to owners. I don't think CPO margins are anywhere near new; so I wouldn't expect to see any significant discounts. I would like to have been proved wrong, but they already have my $...

As a follow up, I got an email from my DS at midnight (literally time stamped 11:57) that my car to be delivered in Chicago hasn't even been assigned a transport from Cali yet. Maybe we should start a new thread with our CPO waiting experiences so others know it'll be a bit

My car is also coming from California to the Chicago area, as I placed the order for this one on the 17th....with the other 2 being damaged, it's been over a month of waiting, and know it will take even some more time.....they better not damage this one, as I have just purchased the wall charger yesterday on their website....I keep telling myself "good things come to people who wait"....

They don't negotiate on the sell price. I was told 3 weeks and that ended up being 6. They only have your deposit until you accept delivery.

I ordered mine 6 weeks ago today and I'm still waiting... It's at the Decatur store to be delivered in Marietta. Most of the time has been taken by the body shop they use, so if you get a call advising that it will require paint ask if they are using a different vendor because the one they have now is terrible!

Ordered a 2013 CPO 60kwh on August 27... didn't hear anything for a few days, then heard it would be 4-5 weeks. The car had to be transfered, and they'd decided to transfer it first and then perform CPO inspections/reconditioning at my local SC.
Delivery is now scheduled for Tuesday... smack in between 4 and 5 weeks since my deposit. So although it's really tough to be patient, they're delivering within the promised timeframe. (Bonus, they repainted front & back bumpers after deciding there were too many chips/scratches for a CPO.)
I will say it's been a little tough to get updates; I almost always had to ping my Delivery Specialist to see what's up. I'm sure they're busy with EOQ rush, and he usually got back to me within 24 hours.

@Toasty - Update... I received a call on Monday by my DS apologizing about the car still not being out of the body shop. He asked what he could do to make it right. I suggested that he let me go ahead and trade my current car, pay for the MS and give me a loaner until mine is ready. He said he would have to check out the legality of the plan but would get back to me when he had an answer. Thursday at lunch he finally called back and said the plan was a GO, so I drove to Marietta after work and picked up my loaner Friday morning.

Well, my schedule just got changed around so I have 8 days off in a row. I sent an email to my cpo guy asking if it happened to be ready, could I just pick it up....would be a nice 2250 mile roadtrip from LA to Chicagoland area...
Better check out the tax implications. Some have posted on this forum that CA will charge you sales tax. I have no first hand knowledge though.
My car is sitting in San Francisco. There seems to be enough cars coming to Chicago that they should be able to fill up a truck soon.
