Are EU and US car numbers the same?

I just reserved a Model S, as a Roadster owner, and got #118 (as a European customer). I remember that my Roadster has a different number (and VIN) range than the US cars. Any idea if I'm N°118 in Europe only or worldwide?

As far as I know VIN numbers are different in the EU. Same goes with reservations for the Model S btw, there are a few lists.

Read on a different thread that the Model S VINs will not be sequential, so your reservation number will have little to do with your VIN, unlike Roadsters.
