Are front upper speakers fitted in the base Model 3 (Australia)?

Hey guys

Picked up my Model 3 (rear wheel drive) base model recently here in Sydney. As the base 3 doesn't come with the super-premium sound system, there's no sound coming out of the upper speakers at the front. I think I read somewhere that even though these speakers aren't connected for the base model, the actual speakers are still present behind the grille.

Sounds like it could be an opportunty to add wiring and get these speakers working.

Wondering if anyone knows whether the speakers are in fact there in the current Model 3 for the Australian market? And if they are, is it an easy job to wire them up?

Cheers and thanks!
Mike

if you have a new Model 3 it will come with premium interior.

These speakers only get used if you set the immersive sound to wide (or at least some width). If you just hook them up you may get some sound from them but they dont serve their purpose then.... They have either a slightly delayed signal to add width or just play the stereosignal for extra width....
So without DSP no point in hooking them up.
