Are notifications archived?

Are the messages Model S sends to iPhones archived somewhere? If so how can they be retrieved?

Swipe down from the top of the screen to view the notifications center. Your notifications history will show there, sorted by app.

The default setting only saves the previous 5 notifications from the app. You can increase that to 10, but I don't know a way to access alerts older than that on a phone or iPad.
