Currently shopping around for wheels, mentioned to a local shop that I was considering Signature wheels and they advised me to be careful, as they tell me there are a lot of less than reputable wheel manufacturers who claim certification when they actually are not, and that rota fail is one of the last things I would want to encounter.
I know the Signature website mentions that all of their wheels are certified, and I have no reason to disbelieve that, but just wondering if there is any other way to have more concrete evidence of certification. What happens when a wheel is 'certified' anyway? Is there some central registry of certification one can check, or any other documentation that could support the claim?
I did email and ask if there were certification documents or similar available, but what I got back was sort of what I expected I would ('yes, all our wheels are JWL').
