Are Tesla Owners Dirty?

I find it refreshing that some locations have trash cans that are probably maintained and placed by nearby business. Trash cans rarely exist at Superchargers. I believe most of the trash I have seen strewn about at Superchargers is left by Tesla owners.

Having a windshield squeegee would be nice too. Oh, and many Superchargers do not have 24 hour accessibility to restrooms.

I guess any joe shmoe owns a Tesla these days and some of them are filthy buggers. Wonder what their homes look like. And I thought India was bad.. Tesla Superchargers finding their way up my list.

I thought Tesla owners would be somewhat a "sophisticated" group of people.. but man some of these superchargers are freaking gross. Cups, bags, trash all over the place. Sometimes I dont even like to get out to put that charger in afraid I may step on something. Maybe they need to setup cameras and fine litterers.
Could it be the state you live in?

At the Burbank SC the chargers are in an ‘L’ shape. There is a garbage can just about in the middle so there is no excuses. We are all Also on display so to speak. So the place stays relatively clean.

I live in the SF Bay Area and use the Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin superchargers and I have noticed the trash. I now carry a large quantity of trash bags in the back of my model X and when I am charging, I will go around the area and pick up trash. Wha else can I do? I am not gong to just sit in the car! Some of the chargers are next to fast food restaurants, one is near a shopping center, but I can always collect a full bag of trash. I will also walk my girlfriend's dog around too, sniffing and picking up trash.

Sometime other Tesla owners thank me, most ignore me, but I feel it is the responsible thing to do for this moment. It is a small gesture, but it is what I can do.

I do the same thing as you (minus walking the dog), so from one of us to another, “Thank You”. I also live fairly close to our local SC and stop by occasionally to clean up the area and empty the trash can sitting next to 1B that many fail to notice or worse, fail to use.
