Are these fog lights?

Is it possible to turn on these lights when using only daytime running lights or any external lights? I dont have any fog light option in my lights menu, these only turn on when reversing or taking a turn.
I was thinking of programming them or?

On my 2020 S there is a button under the Lights menu:

If equipped, touch to turn the fog lights on or off. Fog lights operate only when low beam
headlights are on. When headlights are turned off, fog lights also turn off.

The front fog indicator displays on the instrument panel whenever the optional front fog lights are
on.

Note: Depending on the market region and vehicle options, your vehicle may not be equipped with
front and/or rear fog lights.
Note: In some regions, there is no control for the front fog lights. They operate in conjunction
with the headlights and turn on only in situations where low beam
headlights are on.

I see. My friend that has a same tesla has told me that there is a possibility to turn them on manually with a tesla toolbox? A man who works at tesla can perform this job he said. They just plug in, turn some switches on and boom you have front fog lights option in the lights menu. Do you know if any of this is true?

I’ve purchased and installed a set ($210AUD) but they didn’t come with wiring as they stated my car should already have it, it turns out SR+ 2021 doesn’t have the wiring loom stock. Any ideas where I can purchase the wiring from seperate? I’ve tried sellers on AliExpress but they all will only sell it with a set. I also tried my luck with Tesla service to which they obviously declined to assist

TIA!

@liut4uras - Back in 2014 front fog lights were part of the Tech package and/or an option. My guess is your MS2014 does not have the fog lights. Generally, when a feature/hardware is not included there are only factory options to enable them if you add the hardware later (and the wiring harness supports it). I'm about 99% sure Toolbox will not enable it, and I've heard from techs that Tesla has come down hard on techs that enable features not paid for (and in some cases do not even let techs enable such features). You may be looking at the cornering lights, a different feature as pointed out by others. They are controlled by the turn signals.

@UNCLETYS - Not sure you're going to have any success going that route. The best option is to do your own wiring to the aftermarket fog lights and install a switch in the cabin to turn them on/off. Yes, a bit of a pain.

I’ve found the harness for sale on Amazon & instructions are super easy now I’ve done all the hardwork already. Thanks 🙏

Here’s the link for anyone else that may have the issue down the track -

Were u able to turn them on somehow? I have a post here and was unable to turn them on by bridging other power wires to the fog light wire.

What you have is a post about model S foggies. I’ve installed model 3 (SR+ / RWD) where there 1. Wasn’t any (was only the plastic covers) 2. No wiring at all so installed a full harness which plugs into the rear break lights & work even in menu.

If you need anything more private message me for install tips once you get some - can also send you a link for a cheap pair if serious.
