Are you notified now about navigation map data updates?

I know with the recent software version, that the software tab now shows your software version and nav maps version, and will tell you if there is a software update pending. Does it also notify if there is a maps update too or is that still hit and miss?

I've had a map update recently I don't think it notifies you. I found out only by checking the software tab in the car, it showed a new map version pending download once you connect to wifi.

Took delivery on MX 100D w/FSD.
Navigate on AP (Beta) grayed out (connect to WiFi to download latest map. WiFi is connected with full strength. Still nothing.

In Software tab:
V9.0 (2019.20.1 9973c22)
Navigation Data: NA-2018.6-702

Read your thread about you’re is up to date, could you tell me what’s your current navigation data version is?

I did notice in the newest version of the manual that it does say that you are notified when you get a map update. I have only just got my car, so haven't gotten an update yet.

@MX856n100D did your X download the latest maps yet? On my model 3 nav on ap is also grayed out and it is not downloading the map even though it says it needs to

I also saw new maps pending on the software screen when I happened to try to show someone my current version. I had no popup or prompt about it.

Later that day, parked in Wi-Fi, the maps came in.(I'm on 2019.24.4 on the car, itself.)
