This was my first time learning about ARPA-E when reading this article: Is ARPA-E The Future Of American Energy Innovation? Exclusive QA With Deputy Director Cheryl Martin - Forbes
Does anyone have any insight into this agency? Has it really been productive, because from the energy/getting off oil/making EVs that they elude to in the video and in the article, it doesn't seem to be working. From the article:
"Congress funds us, so they are somewhat our board of directors. They decide on where and how you’re going to get a chance to act"
Doesn't that seem counterproductive? Congress can't do much anyway with all their gridlock, but then you have all the politicians and lobbyists in big oil.
