Argelius, Are you picking up in Chicago or Villa Park? Who are you dealing with to schedule delivery?

I am picking up in Chicago, but dealing with Andrew ODonnell out of the Villa Park service center.

I am set for 10/19 pickup, but wondering if it will be pushed to 10/21 with you. Just wondering what your experience has been with communication and ordering.

Hey! I think they originally were going to have me for a 10/19 delivery but I'm going to be out of town, so we moved it to 10/21. (So excited to get the car....I considered canceling my trip just so I could get the car two days earlier!. I'm doing a Chicago delivery.

I've been dealing with someone named Kristal out of Austin, TX (based on her email signature). Strangely (or not), I haven't spoken with anyone locally (Chicago or Villa Park).

Communication from Tesla has been adequate and all via email (which hasn't been a problem for me). It will be interesting to see how the delivery experience is. I'm pretty low-maintenance, so I'm sure it will be fine. That service center is so tiny...supposedly they are going to be moving into a larger space.

Good to hear, I really hope the 10/19 date sticks. I've been told that the guy at the Chicago center is Joe DiMaggio, and also seen his email on my paperwork. I believe that is who we will deal with on delivery day. If it gets here early I want to say I wouldn't drop everything to pick it up, but I know that's a lie.

She is from Austin, but has been in working in Chicago for a while, although last time I talked to her, she was trying to transfer back down to Austin with Tesla. In any case, I think you can consider her local. She was the one who walked me through my Model S in May.

She is in Austin--did my delivery in Austin. She's a busy person, but nice.

Then, I guess she must still be in transition from Chicago and handling deliveries in both places.

Reading this thread got me so psyched to get my Model S I may have forgotten for a split second- it already arrived. Ten months ago. So I went back and re-read my post on delivery last a December. It's still under the sticky on the first page of Delivery Stories as ModelS1079-Jimmy, and I gotta tell you - I am still thrilled. Just back from a drive to see the movie "Gravity" with my son, and we then defied gravity all the way home through the hills of New Hampshire. Awesome.
