SpaceX’s John Muratore, Director of Space Launch Complex 40, held a news conference to discuss the changes.
$50 million was spent to improve the launch site to make it similar to the other two existing launch sites (39A and Vandy) and greatly improve the TEL and other things to improve reliability and decrease pad turnaround time.
Going forward, SLC-40 will only be used for single stick F9 launches.
