While on the renders the fitment did indeed look a little bit better I still think it looks great on the real car at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Still planning to buy it at some point, but want more info on that carbon fiber version. Found a short clip in a video showing this Model 3 at the Tokyo Auto Salon, they only show the rear and side. Japanese ofcourse so don't know what they're saying but I think they like it. (time mark 19:00 - 20:00)
I still think it's a good looking kit. But for the price they're charging, I'd need to be wowed by it Hopefully we'll get more pics/videos soon.
Some more pictures on Artisan Spirits Facebook page. Can't really find much else, not many people taking pictures or videos of this Model 3 it seems. Most people are there for the Supra's, GT86's and GTR's. Ofcourse that is to be expected in Japan.
I'm constantly searching for pictures or videos of this kit as I really like this one, it's great to see what it looks like on a real car instead of just a render. I actually found some more pictures of pretty much all angles on Instagram. As I said, I really like this kit but I'm a bit worried about fitment as I can definately see some gaps, especially on the front splitter and rear diffuser. Then again, the gaps still do make this look like a real Tesla.
I think he means without the painted parts, just full carbon. I'm really curious to see how that looks on the whole car as well. Looks great like this as well ofcourse but I think it might be a bit difficult to perfectly match the paint color of the car. Especially with red from what I've seen.
I really want this kit too, but at the discounted price. I also like the VIS kit, so if the cost is better when the price is announced, I may jump ship. The Artisan is definitely nicer between the two, but is it $7k nice? I don't know if I'd pay the regular price for fiber glass.
Really love this kit as most of you. My issue is all I keep coming back to and seeing is the seams. Seams everywhere and not tiny. Especially on the TAS photos. Man I just see myself on my hands an knees all (or power washing the living @$#% out of the seams) around the car trying to get dirt, salt, tiny pebbles/rocks/debris out of those seams every time you clean the car. Gap magnet. Maybe I’m wrong but trying to be practical in the cleaning department on all those slots. Ski
I don’t think you’re wrong. From far away it looks great...but up close not so much. Considering the price I’d expect flusher fitment and better quality materials. Especially for the carbon...for that price I’d expect Autoclaved Pre-Impregnated FULL Carbon Fiber and not CFRP.
