Agree that the 20th street entrance, then make a right and drive all the way until the end is the best way to find the superchargers. Also look for red colored level P2 Aisle D row209.
Just got my Model 3 and was at Atlantic Station and decided to "play" and do a quick SC test. Pulled into 2A (I think) and and no one on either side. Plugged in and stating looking over site and found that all the As and 1 B are in one row and the other 4 Bs are in another row at an angle. Turns out I was sharing with with 2B even thought I THOUGHT I was carful as I pulled in. I did unplug since I was just testing. Are SC usually this odd in the AB install or is this an outlier? Having A & B next to each other would make it a lot easer than having to survey the site before plugging in.
Yes, at Atlantic Station the Supercharger bays are scattered higgledy piggledy as if they didn't label the cables and didn't so much as ohm the cables to identify before connecting.
There's a few other Superchargers that are all A's together, then all B's. I always have to check carefully while travelling.
Someone just reported in the Atlanta FB group that construction has started to add more superchargers at AS.
Went to Atlantic Station this morning to go to LA Fitness (not SC). Looked around but didn't see any evidence of new SCs or any construction around the current ones. While I support more I would prefer to see more Stations like in Cumberland before adding to Atlanta Station. Of course it is probably a lot easier and less expensive to add on. Funny when I got in to leave my car decided to Precondition the battery.
Another oddity of the Atlantic Station SC besides the weird AB and odd angle layout is this ONE SINGLE parking space that LOOKS like a SC parking spot but isn't. Makes it look like I'm EVICEing when I was just parking. Also parked in it a week or so ago and some other Tesla owners gave me the "you dummy" just try charging there look.
A little OT but today (and this has happened the last few times) I went to Atlantic Station to go to LA Fitness and run outside. Did park in the same "weird" extra parking space next to the SC (same as in pic above post). I was very close to the 2 hour mark when I left and even had my CC ready. When I get to the gate it says "insert ticket with bar code up" as I start to reach towards the gate arm opens at about "...bar code up". Yes I still have my ticket. How did it know I was there less than 2 hours (and I'm not sure it was so close) without reading my ticket? That is like the 3ed time in a row it has done this. Is an operator monitoring cameras and sees I'm driving a Tesla and just opens the gate or....???? Have others experienced this.
I've also experienced the automated gate opening up before presenting the ticket, I think they take pictures of license plates as they enter, and let them through if cars leave within that 2 hour window.
I was at the Atlantic Station SC on Thursday morning (very early, like 0600) I was the only one there. The gate also opened as soon as I rolled up to it. I was there all of about 20-25 minutes.
Downsizing my life and buying a condo in Atlantic Station. Will close in a few days and then doing some remodeling. One BIG negative is I will no longer have an AC Charging Station. Kind of a lit-ion freak and slow charge and carefully maintain desired SOC levels. Although while not as common in ATL lots of people (especially in Calf) own Tesla's and don't have access to AC Stations and must rely on Chargers. Positives: My parking space is on Level 2 and the Chargers are only a couple of hundred feet away (all "underground"). Looks like I will become an expert on all things related to the Chargers in Atlantic Station.
Atlantic Station has charging for residents -- ask around. Although it may be oversubscribed, in which case you are ideally positioned to ask for more.
There is no charging stations inside of our fenced off (enclave) parking lot area. Any level 2 stations are in the general Atlantic Station parking area. Any time my car is outside of the condo's enclave parking lot the 2 hour rule applies. You have 2 hours to get into our condo parking lot or 2 hours to exit Atlantic Station or pay for parking just like any other car. So if I used any level 2 charging stations the parking cost would FAR outweigh the cost of using the Supercharger. Please let me know if you know of a workaround.
Sign of the weird times. Usually full or only a spot or 2 by mid morning. Today empty and was still the ONLY one when I came back 40 minutes later.
Looks like it may be Atlantic Station infrastructure work and they just blocked off the Superchargers early to keep from parking. They are running some conduit but doesn't look Supercharger related.
