The way cars are (typically) sold in the US that is normal for almost any car. Dealers can decide how much margin they are willing to take.

If they start competing to the bottom of barrel (because they are not selling) then Audi has a problem.

$3K off MSRP is nothing.

If you buy an Audi e-Tron with only $3K off MSRP, you are getting ripped off. A quick search on Cars.com will reveal lots of brand new e-Tron's advertised for $10K-&12K below MSRP. And that might just be the starting point for further negotiations. With discounts like this, you can bet the manufacturer is offering dealers cash incentives to move them.

But why does it need to have a grill? It's an EV. Just seems like a plastic mouth.
