The car gives me various warnings and requests that display on the screen, like it wants to change lanes and I need to approve it. Maybe it chimes when those messages display. It would be helpful if I could get it to speak those messages. A second choice would be a different chime sound that means read the message on the screen. It seems to use the chime for lots of different things. Different chimes for different things would be nice.
In a perfect world there would be customization options to specify how messages or classes of messages are delivered: displayed, displayed with this alert sound, spoken and displayed, alert sound then spoken, etc. I suppose I should tweet this at Elon.
The car already speaks for navigation, and does that well. Speaking for other things would be good. Or maybe it already does this and I don't know how to enable this.
