Thank you!! 44xxx, born 9/4
Thought I would give an update on my delivery day experience today (Sep. 22). Hope this may help give an idea to others awaiting delivery!

Specs: LR AWD, gemini wheels, white exterior, black interior, no fsd, no tow hitch.

VIN: 445xx

Coming in, I already sort of prepared myself for the likely scenario that the car would have some issues that would require a service appointment, but a part of me was still optimistic that the car would be perfect.

After careful inspection, there were a total of 6 errors reported.

Exterior:
1) Front door on passenger side was not flush with the back door at the bottom(from what I could tell, every model Y awaiting delivery today had this issue)
2) Charge port was not flush (kinda disappointed at this because most of the other Model Y's I saw didn't have this issue)
3) Front bumper has a slight misalignment causing a small piece to stick out near the left headlight (this was a pretty common one that I saw aswell)

Interior:
1) Leather on the right side of the center console had a scratch that resulted in a small tear (I almost denied delivery when I first saw this)
2) Back right passenger seat pillar was loose
3) The trunk was not closing properly (reported, but when i got home I tested it about 10 times and it worked everytime, so idk what happened here)

Everything else seemed to check out okay (tail lights were flush, no major panel gaps visible around the car, and the service center representative reported all of my issues for me and assured me they could be fixed. I was pretty bummed out initially, but driving it home, I couldn't help but to smile the whole way.

Looks like the Model Y's still have issues even in September, so unless you are okay with coming back in for service appointments, I would hold off. Hope this helps everyone!
Nice to see others experience. I have my pickup scheduled for this Saturday, 09/26 for a white/white 20" turbine wheels FSD...I already have a 2018 Red LR RWD Model 3 that I love. This Y is for my wife. I think with the problems you had at delivery, I would probably have refused the car. I am trading in her 2014 SUV that is long paid off so no rush to have the Y right now. I think misaligned doors and tears in the leather would do it for me...enough to reject the car (even if they promise to align them, once they do and it's not good enough I can't undo the deal as I'm trading in my old SUV). I already prepared my wife that although we are going to get it Saturday, it might not happen. Wonder if I could stop by my service center where I am picking it up a couple days early and get a look at it so as not to waste time going in Saturday and having her be disappointed while there. Such a shame that we spend over $60K for a new car and we all have to worry about this. By the way, finalized my long standing order on August 27th and my Model Y's factory gate date was September 9th. VIN is 48,8xx. Live in S Florida.

Just got the we found you a car notice
Ordered 8/14
Vin assigned 9/21
delivery expected 9/30

Blue Long Range, Black interior, 19 inch wheels

My VIN is 38xxx I do not know the manufactured date yet. Should I be concerned my vin is lower then many people are reporting? What tail lights would be on this one?

I wouldn’t worry about the VIN. IIRC, that vin range was made anywhere from mid-August to early September.

The new tail lights were manufactured after 8/14.

Posted a few pages back. Got a call yesterday that the car should be arriving earlier then originally stated. Asked if I wanted/could move up delivery from next Mon (28th) to either this Fri (25th) or Sat (26th). Called them back and they said car should be here tomorrow and would Thur (24th) work. It actually works better for our schedules so we changed delivery to Thur (24th).

We’ll see how it goes, optimistic but a realist at heart :). Specs again:

MSM
Black
20” turbine
No FSD or Tow
Ordered 9/12, VIN and MVPA on the 15th or 16th (can’t remember)
Delivery in Superior CO.

Did you hear anything yet? It’s been a month and still nothing for me.
Yes, but unfortunately it wasn’t good. Basically a week and a half ago they added an MVPA and asked me to pay. I payed, and a day later they took it down. A day after that I called and they said there was a “minor quality concern” with the car so they unassigned me. Nothing since. Not only am I over my estimated time, but they are now holding on to over $20k of my funds and my SA who I had to hunt to find since they never reached out to me once is ignoring me. To say I’m displeased with Tesla so far is putting it lightly.

Thanks for sharing, I also take delivery this week. The issue I would have been most concerned about is the bumper/quarter panel overlap (Front bumper has a slight misalignment causing a small piece to stick out near the left headlight). This is normally described by the SC as being within spec and I’ve not heard of them fixing it. How far out is your SC visit?

@sjmcman @DigitalSteel My MVPA is gone this morning...
Strange, but from reading lots of posts it seems like something that just happens. I bet it reappears before delivery but I'd still send an email or text to your SA to confirm.

Has anyone written up a short "essential" check list? We are having our car delivered to us this week (seems to be a thing for our area at quarter end). Weather is likely to be rainy and possibly heavy rain. We aren't going to have a half hour for an inspection. Plan is to inspect the paint and alignment on the exterior and then check the liner and windshield/roof and seats. Look for any scuffs or scratches on the interior. Am I missing anything critical? I feel more confident that any mechanical sorts of issues like the hatch not locking will be addressed with service so I'm not planning to check them until a few hours or possibly a day later. And do you just report everything in the App once you've accepted the vehicle? I've read lots of posts, but I'm still feeling unprepared for this.

I keep reading about an "SA". What/who is this and how do I get one?

My account page says delivery is this Sunday, Mt. Kisco. Have not heard ANYTHING from Tesla.
There are issues with my order that need to be resolved before I can take delivery, I've reached out to what email addresses I garnered off of the Mt. Kisco page. No response. Phone calls to Mt. Kisco are sometimes answered and when they do answer they are, to say the least, ineffectual. "Chat" apparently was expert at blowing smoke up my...

I'm thinking of not showing up, show them the same courtesy they've shown me. Anybody have experience they're willing to share with not making Tesla's self-determined delivery appt?

SA = Sales Advisor.

You wouldn't have one if you just ordered online outside of a store/service center. You could just call Mt. Kisco and choose to be routed to a delivery specialist and ask them for status.

I've referred to 'my SA' because when I placed my order online, I asked the SA I was emailing with to 'attach himself to my order.' He confirmed doing that. Since I placed my order on 9/4, I called him twice and asked for a status of my vehicle, which he was able to provide. Honestly, all it did was give me a name of someone I can ask for when I called to get status. He hasn't proactively communicated with me after my VIN was assigned. He did help expedite getting all of my deets entered ASAP though (i.e., insurance policy info, etc.).
