I am in Avery Ranch with P6316 I expect to see my Model S in March 2013
Hey DSM, will you be the first S in town?
DSM is in San Antonio.
Yup, he told me.
Would we still like to do a get together in Austin?
Sure. Maybe in November sometime. We should have a couple more cars delivered by then and can have a meet-up.
I'd be in to it as well. By then, we might have two Teslas to bring.
You will get your wayyy before me. I am hoping December, but expecting January. <sigh>
DSM363, thanks for pointing me here - didn't know about the Austin portion of this forum, only knew of the one on Tesla's own forum.
An unusual request?
So, I have a request:
I'd like to get visual access to a local Model S for a short time.
I am also working on a center console idea, and I'd like to get an opportunity to map out the interior exact dimensions of the Model S Center Console, attachment and power points, etc. (before mine comes at the end of the year) -- I know it would only take 20-30 min or less (while you watch) and it wouldn't entail the movement of the car at all. Of COURSE they would automatically get a free console insert and I'd love to hear their opinion on what it should do and how it should look...
Also, I'd love to meet a local Tesla Model S owner and hear about their experiences, anyway.
Any chance of someone local, or someone already traveling local to North Austin, letting me buy them lunch and measure their car's center console area, at their leisure? Thoughts?
If you find yourself in Houston, you can have as much access to my Model S as you need. However, my car does not have the cubby yet. Supposedly it will be retrofitted but it isn't officially on the Due Bill.
Thanks, Stephen. That's a very nice offer. We arent in Houston much, but I'll keep it in mind!
I live in San Antonio and will be getting a roadster this weekend. I would enjoy meeting other owners too. Please post if you find something out. Anyone know if there are any owners in SA?
There are 4 other Roadster owners and 3 Model S owners in San Antonio (a few have both). Welcome.

Thanks to Dave M for bringing his gorgeous Sig S all the way from San Antonio
(And thanks to David S for his Photoshop skills here)
The valets were eager to drive Dave's car, but that wasn't gonna happen! (Think "Ferris Beuler's Day Off")
I had my Model S delivered a week ago. Still interested in checking one out?
Anyone want to meet tomorrow for dinner in Austin? Send me a PM. Thinking of getting a few Model Ss together.
Finalized reservation #11,281 this evening. Waiting for MVPA to sign. Going to be the longest 24 hours of my life. Tentative delivery time of February / March as long as order completed by January 11th. Now time to get NEMA 14-50 installed. Anyone know of a good electrician in the Austin area?
HEEEY I got my VIN!
My sweet Silver 60 is now 3 days into manufacturing, and will likely pop out on Sunday... then the truck ride to Texas. I am excited.
