Australia Model 3… website says May-June, does this seem likely?

Hey guys,

We ordered a Model 3 RWD for my partner on 27th March. The original ETA was before the end of April, but this recently blew out to a current ETA of 9th-28th May.

I’m getting the impression that we might end up with another pushback in the next week or so. :-(

The weird thing is, when you look on the Tesla website at ordering a brand new Model 3, their ETA is currently May-June. That means that they still think they can commit to delivering a car ordered today in 53 days.

Surely with the current port quarantine bottleneck, they shouldn’t still be promising that cars ordered now will arrive so quickly?

Anyway… keen to hear from anyone who ordered their Model 3 in late March. Have you had further ETA blowouts? Or are you expecting delivery in the next week or so?

Tesla includes stock about to land where there is no VIN allocation hence May-June windows. The Viking Passama (the Ship) where most of the March orders for NSW are on has been held up for weeks on end at Port Kembla port - rescheduled for a 5th time on the weekend to 20th May - who knows when it will actually dock.
