Fremont is still producing Performance 3s, just not in RHD.
Don't see why they couldn't have done a special run, if China couldn't.

It may be that the have converted the assembly lines to LHD only.

I think they were losing a few days of production due to downtime each time they had to switch the line from LHD to RHD.

It wasn’t just a ‘flick of the switch’ as I understand it.

When I saw the Model S line in Fremont, they were making RHD cars intermingled with LHD cars on the same line.
It may be different now...

I'm hoping that they reduce the price, and I'll upgrade from SR+ to LR
