I'm applying for the NSW EV rebate online and it's asking for these things. Can I apply now with my plate number or do I need to wait until I receive the car to get this information?
  • Copy of the New South Wales Certificate of Registration showing the stamp duty amount paid
  • Copy of the proof of registration entitlement
  • Copy of the applicant, or business representative's current and valid New South Wales Driver licence
Pretty obvious that if the website says it needs it you need to provide it.

Hi All,

Not sure if ‘allowed’ or worthwhile but thought I’d start an Australian ‘Model 3 Waiting Room’, as all responses with the LR thread I’ve been viewing appear to be from our US friends. So feel free to join and contribute here, and hopefully assist in consoling our fellow impatient purchasers (me)! 😁

Order date: 12/11
EDD: nil
VIN: nil
Located: NSW
Apart from Musk's antics, well worth the wait. Our 2019 3 LR seems to have extra urge and some apparently get unsung extras...

Cheers guys; I'm the jammiest bloke around. About 18 months ago I saw a red 2019 LR being imported from Japan, lightly used, and grabbed at it , paying $500 for first dibs. Red and shiny drove it round the block, completed trade and took it home. Now with solar panels and storage battery, going electric is the best deal I've ever done apart from grabbing my present missus...

I just did mine, the SA said the only thing you really need is the rego document which you get when you pick up the car (you only doco you get on pickup is the rego doc and the the CTP certificate). That said I uploaded
- Rego document
- Final invoice (from Tesla App)
- Order agreement

Dear All

Signing out of this thread.

Picked up the other day, process was very efficient, walked up to reception and essentialy
- passed them my licence
- opened the app
- accept a prompt
- given documents and key cards (rego and CTP certificate are the only documents you get)
- walked into the warehouse
- then escorted to the car
- shown how to setup a profile
- spent 30 minutes inspecting (you can spend as long as you like, if you need to ask a question turn on the hazards and somebody comes)
- All perfect
- DONE

One and only hiccup was the car didn't recognise the phone straight away, SA openned the car with the keycard, after clear sailing

I'm curious why Tesla puts cars in the inventory, when they could have used those cars to fulfill current waiting orders. Clearly, there is a waiting list of orders.

This kills me! I have a M3P on order in Victoria. There's several in inventory in just about every other state. Some the exact same spec as my order. Even if i pay for shipping they will not transfer from one state to another! Grrr...

Just FYI, I bought an existing inventory (new) back in Dec and is scheduled to be pick up next week. when I made the purchase, I thought the car was here as in I can pay and pick it up, but their definition of exisiting stock is its build but not necessary landed.

So while I’m waiting… I was looking at the ($30) console bins in the Tesla shop. There’s a greyed out note that says that these are not compatible with the vehicles in your account. Its said to be compatible with the 3/Y with the refresh console. Wouldn’t that include my 12-22 build??

Just picked ours up Yesterday. Assistant just gave us the folder with rego and greenslip documents, quick rundown to get in to the car and said we just go out that way and leave at any time! That was it really. Had 88% charge! No paint blemishes that I could see. Panel gaps and alignment good. Some sticky tape residue on some of the external plastic strips that they cleaned off on the spot. Calibration completed after about 10 mins on the freeway. As most of us know.. a sensational car to drive. Strange thing I noticed later is the rego details are showing we on a Tesla Mode19! Is this a typo?.. anyone else get this as the model designation on their rego? Or do we have a one and only Tesla mode19?

They do, if your price and config matches and there's no one ahead of you in the queue, it will be assigned to you if you're in that region/state generally within 1-2 minutes.

If the price is different or demo stock - you need to contact your tesla rep to move the order.

Well, got my vehicle this morning from Alexandria delivery centre, here are a few things to note:
1. You only have 15mins to inspect and then you need to leave, it is too short at least for me.
2. There are a number of water stains and frame protection tape residues, surely they can be removed just with water, but it is still bit uncomfortable to be with there a new car.
3. When I tried to leave, I did not know why the warehouse gate did not open for me, they told me there is a sensor on the ground that I need to get close enough to trigger it. But it did not work. Finally, they had to open the gate manually.
4. Since I requested them to fully charge my vehicle and they did which I appreciate. The charging limit is somehow still set as 50%, it makes me use 5 mins to figure out why my car cannot work for a supercharger... (you need to increase the limit, otherwise the car will instantly say the charging is complete)

(btw, did a road trip rightafter around the Sydney Sourth, and the vehicle is great:) )
