Auto cancellation for unknown reason?

I placed an order last month and now waiting for our MX delivery.

everything looked fine until today morning, but when I just checked my account in tesla homepage, I saw our order was cancelled for unknown reason. it just says "Cancellation has been initiated for this order" and that's all.

Is there anyone who is seeing/experienced similar symptom like me? I'm not sure if it's a bug on their website.

(I have limited access of phone call right now so I emailed to my contact points (showroom employees, delivery specialist) but didn't have response yet)

This happened to me when i ordered our Model X. This was back in 2016 though. I had wanted coil suspension back when they offered it and kept holding out past several promotions until finally I decided I would go for it. However after I agreed to upgrade the order was cancelled instead without telling me. It was a blessing in disguise though because I then placed a new order which happened to be when they changed from autopilot 1 to 2 so I got AP2 when my car finally came. Also when I originally ordered they didn't have the 60kwh battery or referral credit so I ended up having a few thousand.

I never got an explanation but I would guess you may have to place a new order... However you might get some upcoming changes or get to change your config if you've kind of changed your mind.

It was turned out that cancellation was requested by mistake.
I originally requested cancellation and then withdrew it next day. Showroom employee and delivery specialist did know my final decision, but It looks like someone in Tesla confused my multiple requests and processed cancellation after all.

I hope my delivery date was not affected by this.

exactly where does the order agreement give Tesla the right to cancel? I can't find it.

Just an FYI for the future . . .
The OP has already clarified that it was a mistake, based on overlapping requests.

@vandacca was joking around, plenty of people write negative things and still buy Teslas (Stewart Alsop was a special case). Just look around this forum. :)

But to answer your question directly, the order agreement does clearly state they can cancel under specific circumstances.

Exactly, just joking around and making a reference to Stewart. How many of these winking faces do I have to add before people realize my post contains humor and not to be taken seriously. ;););););) Am I using them wrong? :p

Sorry @bonnie - but bad mouthing or having an opinion on an internet site is not a valid reason to cancel a vehicle order. . . .

Tesla may

1) cancel an order made with a 'view' [whatever that means] toward resale - meaning made to resell it - like the Model 3

2) cancel an order made in bad faith [ not sure what that means - and it will be a very high burden to overcome for the company since what is a 'bad faith order?' Multiple orders placed without the intent to close? Buying with no ability to pay? Bad faith is not expressing an opinion pro or con on a message board]

3) Cancel if they discontinue a model [they have not done so with production car] feature or option [ok - so they cancel Enhanced AP they'll cancel all the EAP car orders?]

Why don't you keep looking and when you find a location where Tesla can cancel an order because someone bad mouths them - we can chat.

I think you totally missed my point. I said @vandacca was joking (which he confirmed). I was stating that Tesla would not cancel his order because of posts on this forum. My bad, obviously I wasn't clear enough about that.

I only posted that section in response to your comment that you couldn't find anything about right to cancel in the order agreement. It's right near the front.

none of those are remotely relevant to what we were talking about in this thread.,

Must I be that pedantic or can people understand context?

yes. Its a good thing you are not a customer. I hope it stays that way. Because the minimum bar is to have a sense of humor and realize a note is written as a joke, without having the need to put ;)

As per OP's situation, he initiated a cancel and then cancelled the cancel, but the 2nd cancellation of the original cancellation did not take effect for whatever reason. Thats all. Just an error.

ya better hope to gawd your car's color wasn't killed off. We 1st got the gold/bronze color canceled . . . . . oh, some where along the line was the 60kWh pack, and of course among other things, springs, perforated leather . . . . then my all time favorite ('F' us anyway) - was the grey leather. After that . . . . lost track. By the time we got what ever else was left over with what ever they were finally wiling to sell us? (sigh) There was AP2.
o_O
don't EVEN get me started on that sore subject.
