I have good news on a great tweak from Tesla I have been waiting for since 2014. It seems that Tesla has finally put auto opening mirrors into one of the recent updates.
I have had a Model S since 2014, and park in garage that has a narrow enterance with a couple of inches on each side with my mirrors closed. This has mandated that I open my mirrors as I back up to make sure I am not too close to one side. I then close them as I get near to the doorway and re-open them once I am past the doorway or when I put the car into drive. Yesterday as I pulled forward the mirrors opened themselves. I was surprised, thought I must be mistaken, slowed down and did it again several times. The mirrors open above 10 mph, and interesting enough, you cannot close them above that speed like you used to be able to.
