auto door opener issue

Best suggestion I can give is to disable the auto open/close garage door functionality and never use it again. Garage doors are dumb and work on a toggle command so there's no true open and close that the car is sending the garage door opener so it can understand specifically what you want. It literally just sends the same command and if it's open already, it closes. If it's closed already, it opens it.

Don't take my word for it. There's lots of stories similar to this that end in heartbreak involving thousands of dollars of damage. The "convenience" isn't worth the risk IMO. When you approach your home your screen will pop-up your programmed garage doors so all you have to do is tap the one you want to trigger once. Takes half a second and allows you to avoid potentially expensive/dangerous situations.

Disable Auto Open/Close if you are manually pressing the button to test the unit. Perhaps you manually pressed the button, and then the auto open "pressed" the button again, which would close the door. The door only activates, it does not have a separate open and a close function.
