Auto Lane Change failure (problem solved)

A few weeks ago my M3 started failing to Auto Lane Change to the right (changing to the left worked fine). We finally determined that the problem was that the right hand turn signal was not working. Water had leaked into the rear housing for the turn signal and tail light, and shorted something out. According to the service tech, because the car knew that it was unable to signal a change to the right lane, it would abort the auto lane change. That's smart, but I wish it would have told me that the tail light was not working. The technician replaced the housing, and everything works again.
