Auto Pilot Follow the Leader?

I was driving my Model S in rush hour traffic yesterday and was right behind another Model S. I had Auto Pilot on so it would do the stop & start in traffic.

I was wondering if the Model S in front of me was on Auto Pilot as well. But then I saw his car move to the left (like he was trying to see around the car ahead of him) and then return to the middle of the lane, so I thought his wasn't on.

But then at the same spot in the road, my Model S moved over to the left and then back to the middle of the lane.

I thought this was so funny. I guess his Auto Pilot was on.

Has anyone else notice their car do this?

Imagine if there were more Model S's in line with us, we'd look like a centipede. Ha!

Maybe just coincidence. But if the car can't properly read the lane markers it will follow the car in front instead.
