Auto Pilot Raven 2019

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Simply put, your Raven Model X comes with Autopilot - can cruise control, break/speed up, and steer within the lane:

Traffic Aware Cruise Control
Auto-Steer

FSD adds:

Summon
Auto park
Auto lane change
Navigate on Auto Pilot
and hopefully "Full Self Driving" later

It is explained in not so confusing detail here: Autopilot

Avoid reading old articles that talk about previous iterations of Autopilot with different features. Keep it simple, gurl.

Summons?

No. As of 3/1/2019, you need to pay FSD to have Summon.

...Lane Change?

No. As of 3/1/2019, you need to pay FSD to have Autolane Change. Without FSD, you can turn on your signal light as much as you like but your Autopilot will keep your car going straight between two lane markings.

...Nav on Autopilot...
No. As of 3/1/2019, you need to pay FSD to have Navigation on Autopilot.

In summary, current Autopilot can do 2 things:
1) TACC
2) Autosteer within your lane.

If you want more than those 2, pay for FSD.

I bought mine with FSD. For me, you just can’t rely on if or when and or how much this guy is gonna increase the price of it. If you can afford it I’d say maybe just get it. Tesla is like gambling. Sometimes it goes in your favor sometimes not. My case i missed unlimited Supercharging buy two weeks, and ludicrous included with the performance model by 4 weeks. It’s a fabulous game. U most always lose. And yes I’m a little salty lol
