Auto pilot shut off

I have a 2021 model 3 long range with 1200 miles. Today I was driving on a 2 lane highway with autopilot engaged at the speed limit. Upon meeting aa RV and a little later an 18 wheeler, the autopilot shut off with the warning chimes in both cases. Is this normal when meeting a larger vehicle on a 2 lane road.

This was concerning as I immediately had to look and see if there was a car behind me that could have hit me with the immediate de acceleration/braking

I’ve never had AP disengage because of other vehicles. Was there any alert message? Maybe you disengaged by accident, by touching the brake? If AP disengages, there shouldn’t be any braking beyond regen braking.

I have had AP disengage during auto lane changes, but it yells at you to take over. If you just heard the chime, you probably disengaged by mistake.
