Looks like the Plaid is starting an automotive arms race among the luxury marks.

Ferrari and Lamborghini

AMG

Hybrids will bring the pain to Tesla. Best of both worlds. Instant torque and faster recharge. Plus Nurburgring dominance.
Pain? What pain? The hybrid AMG you linked above is still not as fast as a Plaid. And to make it worse, it doesn't have a 1000lb battery weighing it down like the Plaid, yet is heavier than the Plaid!

These are just stop-gaps/delays to the inevitable - a full EV.

The inevitable full EV adoption will come from government mandate. Let’s not kid ourselves in our echo chamber here

From a pure performance point of view at the highest levels of Motorsport competition BEV will not be as fast in a track setting as the battery tech sits right now.

Also, Until we get an official Nurburgring time the Plaid is a one trick pony. A muscle car if you will. Who knows time will tell. Its interesting how the other luxury marks are responding.

"The new Countach can go from 0 to 60 and to 124 mph in 2.8" And its only $500k

Wow. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Thats really fast.
If Tesla knows whats good for them, they better hurry up and beat that time with the Plaid..

oh wait...
I know amazing.
But you have to admit bold claims have been made of the Plaid by the company spokesman and that’s the only impressive spec we have so far.
