As someone else said "Tell this to my car" which does (sometimes) slow down in turns. But, perhaps you are correct, and this is not a function of AP but TACC which possibly takes into account steering angle to drop the car's speed.
This would be brand new. TACC has never slowed my car down for curves, including one I like to take at 70 MPH when I can that has a recommended speed limit of 45 MPH.
Awesome for you. I don't find that, in either slow or tight curves. If the curve is too tight and my speed too great it simply gives up, similar in fashion to the Tesla Tried to Kill ME video.
But I agree with you, I love AP too, and it has definitely changed my highway driving habits. I use it on the highway now without hesitation.
As long as they don't slow it down too much, I'm good with the effort to slow the car in the curves, because weather conditions and road conditions might dictate that.
However, no one wants to slow to a relative crawl to go through a curve.
