Autopilot crowding the right side of the lane?

Mine feels centered but, I'd actually prefer if this were made configurable. During my school runs in the HOV lanes of 101, I'd rather lean a bit left (when there's atleast a bit of a shoulder) as I'd want to make room for all those bikers trying to get past. Too often, I've had to take control to move my left wheels near (or even over) the lane marker to the left to let the bikers go by. Some of these hogs with saddle bags are rather wide and hugging the center of the lane with the MS is no good.

A "center lane offset" setting would be easy to implement. I can see using arrows on the center display or even the steering wheel controls to just nudge the autopilot over in one foot increments. Two feet to the left would do if for me.

I completely agree. I've had to take over control a few times when it got close enough to an 18-wheeler in the right lane that the side sensors were almost turning red. It's gotten a little too right lane biased for me on a few occasions.

So have I. Its like it doesn't see the trailer. It looks to me like my right-side rear-view mirror is almost about to touch the trailer. Not fun.

I've noticed its definitely more pronounced when the left lane marker is a double line. That's how they mark the right marker of the carpool lane on the Long Island Expressway and autopilot seems to want to give that thing half the adjacent lane.
