Autopilot - Not Avaliable (most of the time)

I have the basic autpilot and have had my M3 for nearly a year covering 12k miles.

Over the last couple of weeks i noticed that autopilot is rarely avaliable, the icon doesnt appear even when on roads that have clear lane markings. When it does work, its very intermittent and will flash red telling me to take over.

To try and fix myself m, i’ve tried the follow

- resetting the car
- turn off and on autopilot
- reset the cameras and recalibrated
- cleaned the camera

i’m not getting errors just not avaliable. Has anyone else had this experience recently? as i thought it might have been because of a software update, but havent heard much noose on this issue.

If not i’ll look to book a service appointment.

I’ve had it recently but only where re-surfacing has been done and road markings haven’t yet been replaced
that said, where the kerb is well defined but the lane line is absent, it still works though I don’t use it under those circumstances.

Yep this is a new 'feature' I wondered what was going on at first but linked it to this. I do find the auto lights are quite keen
