Autopilot on downhill vs. uphill

Does anyone have any experience with autopilot going downhill vs. uphill? Mine seems to perform weird, in the sense that it follows closer going downhill and further when it's uphill. Once on a local street it was following very close and had to emergency brake (autopilot self disabled afterwards). The car in front of me didn't even emergency brake...

Was hoping to see if anyone else has any experience.

Nope no issues. Road grades up or down the cars hold their speed perfectly at whatever speed I set. When a vehicle is in front of me it keeps the set distance perfectly. (I have it set at 1)

The TACC is not distance related, but time related. So, if you are going slower downhill, then the distance will be closer, than if you are going faster uphill.

Seems a bit unfortunate as i would imagine you would want to follow further going downhill as braking could be more challenging...
