Autopilot probably saved my life, or at least my car!

I was driving Westbound on the i84 from CT to NY today I when some idiot came steaming up the inside lane and in to my lane almost taking me out. I had autopilot on (my foot was on the accelerator) but it intervened just in time to avoid a collision. I had my hands on the wheel obviously and took control. So thankful for it! Got it all Teslacam, around 15s

Very cool. I’m always on that road and know every inch well. That’s where it goes from 3 lanes to 2 and the idiots [myself included] jockey for a good position. lol. Coming from those speedy chargers at the mall or Whole Foods?

That’s a little judgmental. There was a truck in that lane, and I had moved across to pass. I make a point of not sitting in the outside lane, I move after I’ve passed.

I had a much more extreme event like that a few months ago in Connecticut. Nitwit cut me off, my X auto-slammed the brakes (from 75 to 40 instantly), and avoided the collision, then hard accelerated to prevent being rear ended. Sorry, no video.
